  NEW LINEAR PHOTOSENSOR
A new special-purpose photosensor, designed to combine multiscan simplicity and low cost with CCD high linearity and with stability, should pave the way to a new generation of spacecraft Sun sensor devices with improved parameters. The proposed linear photosensor (LPS) is designed to convert visual-range radiation to electric signals. It is to be used in a Sun sensor as an alternative to a CCD and is indispensable in missions requiring a long lifetime and high stability under exposure to external radiation. It can also be used in ordinary external conditions.

  INFRARED RADIATION DETECTOR
A new infrared radiation detector (IRD) converts infrared radiation to electric signals without any cooling or thermal stabilization; this feature distinguishes it radically from functionally similar devices. The detector is being developed for use in an Earth Horizon Sensor to meet requirements for a high tolerance of the space environment and for a long lifetime. It can also be used in infrared image processing systems that do not require a high temperature resolution.
