| CONSTRUCTION OF THE PRODUCER OF BIOINSECTICIDE OF COMBINED ACTION AGAINST COLORADO BEATLES AND OTHER INSECTS OF COLEOPTERA ORDER |
| Colorado beatles are dangerous pests of potato. Of microbiological plant protective preparations, the preparations on the base of entomopathogenic bacterum Bacillus thuringiensis of two types: on the base of beta-exotoxin strain-producer (Bitoxibacillin, etc.) and strains synthesizing Coleoptera-specific delta-endotoxin (Novodor, etc.) are most widely used to tight with this pest. These toxins have different mechanisms of action. The construction of strain capable of producing the both toxins allows one to develop highly efficient preparation of combined action, extending considerably the possibility of controlling the size of Colorado beatles population. High biological activity and low probability of the formation of the resistant population are the advantages of the biopesticides of combined action. |
|
| INCAPSULATED BIOINSECTICIDES ON THE BASE OF RECOMBINANT PSEUDOMONAS STRAINS WITH INDUCED EXPRESSION OF CRYIII-GENE AGAINST COLORADO BEATLES |
| Recombinant strains of Pseudomonas spp. were constructed for the development of paint-protection preparations against Coleoptera insects.
These strains are adaptable for manufacturing (they have a high growth rate, the components of nutrient media for their cultivation are accessible), show Coleoptera-specific insecticide activity, which is determined by Bacilus thuringiensis subsp. tenebrionis gene. In contrast to B.thuringiensis, crystalline protein synthesized by recombinant Pseudomonas, is localized inside the cell, thus being protected by the cell envelope from the influence of a number of damaging environmental factors. Negative effect of the endotoxin of the liability of the recombinant strains was decreased due to the system of induced cryIII-gene expression. The use of recombinant Pseudomonas strains as advanced enthomotoxin producers is thus determined by the properties of recipient strains and possibility to optimize the procedure of cultivation. Production of delta-endotoxin by recombinant Pseudomonas strains reaches 60-70% of the total amount of cell protein. However, the induction of cryIII-determinant expression is Pseudomonas may result in the inhibition of cell population growth and destabilization of the recombinants and toxin synthesis induction. |

| LEPIDOCID |
| Lepidocid (liquid) for regional small-scale manufacturing
Lepidocid is a bacterial preparation on the base of Bacillus thuringiensis III serotype. The preparation, a stabilized cultural liquid, is intended for the treatment of agricultural plants and herbs in any vegetation period against different pests, such as Geometridae, Pyraloidea, Tortricidae. It does not require the preparation of a matrix suspension and is immediately mixed with water at a ratio of 1:200 or 1:300. |

| AUTOMATIC BIOLOGICAL ANALYZER |
| AUTOMATIC BIOANALYZER is a complex device representing a compromise between a biological express method and a computerized analysis.
It is based upon a method for biological toxicity assessment of feeds using high-sensitive unicellular test-organisms (Infusoria). It differs from other traditional toxico-biological methods used for rabbits and white mice by less labour requirement and reducing the time for results acquisition. Unlike physical and chemical methods, it allows for estimating the joint action of the total complex of toxins in feeds. |

| COMPLEX PREPARATIONS TO PROTECT PLANTS FROM DISEASES |
| Three complex preparations on the base of bacterial preparation bactofit, fodder antibiotics and an enzyme were developed: BACTOFIT+BACILLIHIN; BACTOFIT+KORMOGRIZIN; BACTOFIT+PROTOSUBTILIN |
|
| MICROFUNGICIDE |
| The preparation is prepared on the base of micelium and chlamidospores of Trichoderma viride. It exhibits hyperparasitic activity with regard to a great number of fungi, including Alternaria, Rhizoctonia, Botrytis, Aspergillus, Penicillium, Helminthosporium and Fusarium, causing plant diseases. The preparation is a paste of yellow-green color with a specific "fungous" smell, Micofungicide provides growth stimulating effect. |
|
| BACTOFIT |
| Bactofit is a bacterial preparation on the base of Bacillus subtilis, intended for the protection of plants from fungous and bacterial diseases.
Bactofit does not possess fitotoxic activity, does not influence the test and smell of the plants treated. The preparation is not toxic for humans and warm-blood animals, it is harmless for bees, fishes and hydrobionts, for useful entomofauna.
The production technology is similar to that of the preparations of ÂÒ group, does not require expensive raw materials and additional expenditures. |
|
| SYSTEM OF ESTIMATION OF BACTERIAL INSECTICIDE QUALITY |
| The system of estimation of the quality of bacterial insecticides produced in Russia and Kazahstan differs from that used in other countries. The quality of home-made preparations is controlled from the spore titre; the biological activity is determined from the activity of entobacterin taken as 1000 U/g. The quality indices of five home-made and nine imported batches of bacterial insecticides on the base of ÂÒ were compared by using international standards of the activity .
Two species of insects were used for the determination of viable spore titre, biological activity as well as of a number of physico-chemical parameters: moisture content, suspension stability and dryness, etc.
In physico-chemical parameters, the home-made preparations in a form of wetable powder differ profitably from dry imported preparations.
No linear correlation is observed between spore titre and biological activity. |

| PRESOWING TREATMENT OF SEEDS BY A PULSED MAGNETIC FIELD: A NEW TECHNIQUE IN CROP PRODUCTION |
| The new technique of presowing treatment of seeds is based on their irradiation by a pulsed magnetic field. It speeds seed germination, stimulates further plant growth, and increases grain and vegetable yields. The method is environmentally clean and has a low energy consumption.
Highly efficient installations have been developed for the large-scale use of the technique of the presowing pulsed magnetic field treatment (PMFT) of seeds in crop production. The method has been tested with success in the Central Black-Earth Area of Russia over the past five years. The mutational variability of plants grown with the use of presowing PMFT did not exceed the natural background for conventionally grown plants.
The stimulating effect of presowing PMFT is manifested in a change of the thermogenesis parameters at early stages of seed germination. The time-dependences of the temperature changes of the germinating seeds indicate that presowing PMFT shortens the duration of physico-chemical thermogenesis and increases the amplitude of the thermal fluctuations of biological thermogenesis (Fig.). |
