Latest Inventions Technologies of salvaging A METHOD OF AND INSTALLATION AND DISRUPTER FOR PROCESSING SOLID ORGANIC WASTE
A
method of and installation and disrupter for processing solid organic waste
In the method applied today solid
organic waste are treated in a salt and alkaline melt at a temperature of
400-900° C. The method includes delivery of solid organic waste and gases and
removal of the products obtained in the processing. The said solid organic waste
are fed in the melt together with an inert gas; the melt is then regenerated
with an oxygen-containing gas.
In the newly-developed technology,
preliminary treatment of solid organic waste is provided. Solid organic waste
and gases are directed below the melt bed surface. Treatment of solid organic
waste and regeneration of the melt are separated from each other and performed
simultaneously. The melt temperature in the waste treatment process is increased;
gases released in the waste treatment process and in the melt regeneration
process are cleaned.
In the second modification of the
newly-proposed method, solid organic waste, namely, cellulose materials, are
processed with a 15-20% alkaline solution.
In the third modification of the
newly-proposed method, melt temperature is increased proportionally to the
carbonate accumulation in the said melt.
In the fourth modification of the
newly-proposed method, hot flue gases released both in the waste treatment
process and in the melt regeneration process interact with each other at a
temperature of 700-900°C; mixed gases are then cleaned to remove nitrogen and
sulphur oxides at a temperature of 400-450° C. A final cleaning up of organic
waste from residual contamination is effected on a catalyst layer at the
temperature of 450-500° C.
Installation for treating solid
organic waste in a melt includes a disrupter, a supplementary-burning chamber,
and a clean-up unit to remove sour gases and solid particles. In the
newly-designed installation, the said supplementary-burning chamber contains a
fluidized bed and is equipped with an inert nozzle; the said clean-up unit,
required to remove sour gases and solid particles, is designed as a chemisorbent
strained declining counterflow reactor (CSDCFR). Catalytic reactor and a heat
exchanger are installed one after another downflow the CSDCFR.
A disrupter for treating solid
organic waste in a melt includes a housing, a cover, reaction and regeneration
pipes, sleeves to feed gas and waste and remove reaction products. In the
newly-designed disrupter, the space over the melt under the cover is split in 3
zones separated from one another by partitions deepened in the melt. The sleeves
for feeding gas and waste are placed in the melt and in combination with
regeneration pipes form gas-lift reactors.
In the second modification of the
disrupter, a gas-lift reactor with a reaction pipe is installed in the disrupter
central part, while gas-lift reactors with regeneration pipes are placed at the
peripheral parts.
