HYDROMECHANICAL
SLOT PERFORATION
Secondary completion technology
with 60, 73 mm diameter tubing run perforator geophysically linked to
cross-section allows forming large-length longitudinal split with roll-on disk (all-point
loading metal plastic deformation principle) in the required casing interval,
and washing a cavity with fluid jetting in the cement ring and rock.
Major advantages of the
technology:
- higher hydrodynamic quality of formation
exposing due to exposing with a slot of all fluid-conducting channels;
- specific exposure area is for 80-90% higher than
at jet perforating with maintained casing strength;
- penetration radius is 2 times higher compared to
jet perforating;
- no impacting casing during perforation;
- no impacting cement stone outside casing upper
and lower perforating interval;

- allows for selective exposing of only producing
interlayers without breaking barriers between them;
- allows exposing formation with oil or any other
working fluid;
- allows for reperforation with simultaneous
treatment of transition zone;
- the operation can be performed at any time of
day and does not require turning-off electric energy supply;
- if necessary, a well can be produced through
perforator till the next workover;
- costs is not higher than for jet perforation
method;
- allows effectively removing outside-casing
cross-flows;
- increases well intake capacity before emergency
cementing/fracturing.
Perforator designed is protected
by RF patent.
