Capillary-breaking
membrane for road pavement
A road pavement
capillary-breaking membrane containing a black gravel, bitumen and sand is
located among compacted road pavement layers which have different linear
extension coefficient (difference is from 30 to 100%) and steam permeability
coefficient (difference is from 30 to 300%). Black gravel is laid in one layer
over the modified bitumen layer which ensures independent operation of the
layers during ambient temperature fluctuations. The black gravel layer is
additionally filled up with a treated large-grained binding organic sand which
is featured with a disrupted granulometric composition to drain moisture.
In the second modification,
membrane ensures steam and moisture transmission via the space filled up with a
large-grained sand and located between black gravel grains in parallel to road
pavement layers.
