A
TECHNOLOGY FOR CULTIVATION OF HIGHLY ACTIVE RESISTANT MICROORGANISMS CAPABLE
OF DEGRADING ENVIRONMENTAL ANTHROPOGENIC POLLUTANTS
The technology is intended to
produce biomass of oil-oxidizing strains such as Acinetorbacter sp. HB-1,
Mycobacterium flavescence EX-91 and Pseudomonas sp. strain5. The technology
emplies the use of the association of cultures to utilize different oil
pollutants.
Today…
- the composition of enriched mineral media
providing high yield of final cultures is developed;
- temperature-time regime of cultivation is tried
out;
- requirements to mass-exchange characteristics of
the equipment are established;
- a regime for introduction of nutrient additives
into cultures is studied, the process is tested;
- the process is scaled up for apparatus with
capacity of l m3;
- cultures obtained according to these regimes are
shown to retain their oil-oxidizing activity at the level similar to that of
an initial strain; environmental preparations based on the are produced;
- the association of cultures produced by this
technology is successfully trailed in biodegradation of recalcitrant oil
products (oils).
Scope of application
- large-scale production of the preparation for
remediation of oil polluted soil and water environment as well as for cleanup
grease-stained water and hard surfaces;
- production of native cultures for on-site
bioremediation;
- the use of science-methodological approaches to
the development of processes to create strains degrading other types of
pollutants.
Potential consumers
- oil-extracting, machine engineering and other
industries.
Science and technical documentation
- laboratory instructions related to storage of
working strains as well as to the production of oil-oxidizing cultures;
- technical requirements to cultures as
well as drafts of regulations for pilot-industrial production of oil-oxidizing
cultures;
- application for invention "the procedure to
cultivate of highly active oil- oxidizing microorganisms".
