am a patentee with a patent of Russian Federation N34489 for the model “Bantam
heavier-than-air vertiplane” (see Bulletin “Inventions and useful models”
N34, 2003, pages 691-692). The vertiplane (VP) is intended to be admass private
air transport in the nearest future. In order to succeed its features were
decided to be ones inhere to so-called “transport from the door”. It is
downsized (to 2000 mm) and foreshortened, so one may garage it. The airparks and
specially equipped landing places are unnecessary due to the vertical stationary
take-off and put-down. The universal alighting gear makes it possible to land
this vertiplane onto any kind of soil and the water.
It has no dangerous open
airscrews or vanes. The provided disposable load achieves 300 kg, the vertiplane
is designed for a family of 4-5 people. This craft is intended for a
near-the-ground flight (bellow 500 m) at a speed of 250 km/hour. VP is actuated
by an originally constructed jet engine and “ring wing” type engine. The
fuel is an aviation spirit.
The advantages of a private
aircraft over surface transport are: higher speed, glib movement, independence
form the roads’ presence and condition, unreachable for surface transport
places accessibility. Its advantage over public air transport is operative
functioning and minimal movement limitations.
The patentee invites the
forward-looking investors to finance a construction, experimental work-out and
test of the vehicle, which will be followed by an organization of a
manufacturing process.
