METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SEALING INSERTS FROM DISINTEGRATED WASTES

FIELD: rubber industry.

SUBSTANCE: inserts designed to be placed between parts and blocks of internal combustion engines are manufactured from disintegrated rubber stopper wastes adding 45-40% binder, in particular crude nitrile rubber compound. Wastes are ground first to fractions 3-5 mm and the to fractions 0.3-0.5 mm. Waste-binder mixture is extruded into bundles 3-10 mm long, which are then molded at 155- 165 C under pressure 20-30 MPa. Thermal stabilization is finally carried out for 12-24 h at 100-130 C.

EFFECT: increased resistance of inserts and solved waste disposal problem. 3 tbl
