Technology Database Automotive industry NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR IN-LINE REPAIR (WITHOUT DISMANTLING) OF WORN FRICTION PARTS AND UNITS WITH REPAIR-RESTORING COMPOUNDS
New
technology for in-line repair (without dismantling) of worn friction parts and
units with repair-restoring compounds
The practice of engine and
transmission treatment of over 2,000 different types of vehicles ranging from
Oka to BelAZ has shown that the repair-restoring compounds (RRCs), alongside
with an increase of service life of treated units and assemblies, also allow to:
- increase compression rate up to the design
value in all cylinders
- diminish compression rate fluctuation by
cylinders
- cut fuel consumption by 10 to 15%
- significantly increase oil pressure in the
system
- reduce oil consumption
- boost internal combustion engine power
- lessen CO/CH concentration in flue gas by
1.5 to 2.0 times
- reduce noise and vibration.
The newly-patented method
When the RRCs are used in contact
areas of friction parts, a modifies protective layer is gradually formed in
passing micro-metallurgical process under pressure and temperature applied. The
protective layer thus formed is in nature a monocrystal grown up on a crystal
lattice of the metal surface layer. Diffusion of the RRCs from the surface layer
inside the metal also enhances structure of the metal crystal lattice. As a
result, pre-surface layer produced in such a way is stronger that a layer
obtained through traditional repair methods. Friction index of the new layer is
lower by several times. The surface layer formed during the process enables to
eliminate a direct metal-to-metal contact and thus prevent electrochemical
corrosion and hydrogen cracking; none of traditional oils and additives
available on the market today can’t provide the same result. Therefore, a
wear-resistant material possessing perfect anti-corrosion and dielectric
properties, is appeared in the friction and contact areas.
The RRCs are compatible with all
types of oil. In contrast to additives, the RRCs don’t clog oil passages.
Besides, requirements on the quality of oil being used are reduced.
Well-skilled technical personnel
is required for the repair.
We bear full responsibility for
the quality of the repair and execute warranty (50,000 run kms) repair and
aftersale repair at reduced rates.
The RRC-technology, as compared
with a traditional one, is cheaper and more simple as well as more efficient.
