Super-high
capacity condenser to provide a reliable start-up of internal combustion engines
installed in automobiles and tractors
A new type of super-high capacity
condenser (SHCC), Econd-Super, developed by Russian scientists, is the mostly
efficient for starting-up carburetor and diesel internal combustion engines (ICEs)
with a rated power of 10 h.p. to 3,000 h.p., railroad rolling stock, cars,
freight transport, diesel power plants, ship engines as well as for agricultural,
road building and municipal technique. The SHCCs are very effective if used at
low temperatures and when accumulator batteries (ABs) are discharged.
The advantages of the combined
ICE start-up system launching engine from both AB and SHCC are as follows:
- reliable start-up of engine
- start-up of engine at temperatures down to
-45° C without AB preheating
- start-up of engine with discharged AB, or
without AB at all
- possibility to use a AB with a reduced
capacity
- reduction of ICE idle operation time and
fuel consumption
- AB service life doubling or tripling
- long service life of the SHCC without
maintenance (up to 10 years)
- a high speed charging of the SHCC from AB or
aboard generator (no more than 30 s)
- SHCCs’ indigenous ecological friendliness
in operation and utilization
- possibility to replace a lead-acid AB of
original starter with AB of any other type
- fire and explosion safety of the SHCC.
Gosstrandart of Russia granted
the SHCC a Certificate of Conformity issuing on electric and electronic devices
for mechanical vehicles, tractors and trailers.
