A method of and device for enhancing fuel burn-out efficiency of internal combustion engine with the use of silencer

According to the methods applied today, to improve the fuel burn-out efficiency of internal combustion engines (ICE), a fuel-air mixture in a compound required to get best combustion results is delivered to engine working cylinder wherein it burns out. Discharge valve then opens and exhaust gas is released through engine discharge system.

In the newly-patented method, exhaust gas entering a silencer installed in the discharge system creates back pressure, thus slowing down the exhaust gas output from working cylinder. As a result, fuel burns out in the working cylinder more completely. Thereafter, exhaust gas leaving the silencer and working cylinder is accelerated.

The device to realize the proposed method is also described. The particularity of the said device is in a glass-shaped exhaust gas reflector installed in a chamber of silencer casing. The reflector is placed inside the discharge pipe and fixed over there. There’s an air gap between the reflector outer wall and discharge pipe end inner wall. The reflector is located in front of the inlet pipe end, turned to it with its cavity and separated from it by the air gap.
