Lowering sugar contents in food and good chewing is the best anti-caries protection

Lowering sugar amount, containing in food, thorough food chewing as well as consumption of iodized salt enables to reduce risk of caries development - this is the conclusion German dentists and scientists came to.

Food products and drinks with high sugar content have to be excluded from everyday ration; sugar surrogates such as malt extract and saccharose are to be used instead.

Fresh fruit and raw food is a base of normal meal. It’s very important not to accustom children to eating sweets regularly.

To prevent caries, a thorough chewing of food is required, since salivary glands initiate release of liquid neutralizing acid reaction in the mouth.
