Vanilla
as a means to increase appetite
Vanilla flavor helps people with
a depressed appetite. Researchers have come to this conclusion after a survey
carried out in the St. George hospital in London. In the frames of the test, a
group of 40 patients had been carrying the vanilla-redolent plaster on the wrist
over the entire month.
Based on the results obtained,
scientists advised that all the tested people in the course of time got a clear,
but not strong wish to eat chocolate.
Researchers suppose that vanilla
flavor influences the process of the hormone serotonin production that, in its
turn, causes appetite increase.
Based on the study, a similar
plaster is expected to be sold through the UK’s drug network in late this year.
