DETERMINATION OF SURFACE AREAS
POTENTIALLY COLLAPSIBLE DURING UNDERGROUND EXPLORATION OF ORE DEPOSITS
Traditionally, such estimations are done on the basis of
information from exploratory wells and probe holes, supported by the analysis of
mining, geomechanic and surveyors’ reports, which is made to reveal the
overlapping exhausted explorations and plot the zones of overlapping against the
earth surface in the combined mining plan.
The new technology introduces an additional provision of
estimating the depth of exploration at all zones of overlapping exhausted beds.
The estimation takes account of the parting thickness and the total thickness of
deposits. Based on the obtained data, the contour lines of the total thickness
and correlation between the exploration depth and the total thickness are drawn.
The analysis of the prepared charts reveals potentially hazardous areas, where
the contour lines coincide and critical conditions for the collapsing of ground
layers are observed.
