METHOD OF MAKING AERATED
CONCRETE AND ARRANGEMENT OF REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
According to the existing method, aerated concrete is made one
portion at a time by means of forcedly mixing parent mortar with mechanical foam,
which is produced by a foam generator from water, compressed air and
surface-active agent.
By the new technology, parent mortar, basically
with the density of 1700-1850 kg/m³ is delivered into a power mixer. At the
same time, mechanical foam with the foam ratio of 8-60 is supplied to the mixer
from a foam generator and from a batch meter in two ways: top-down through a
hose with a jet-nozzle and from the bottom through rigid multi-nozzle piping.
The foam life should be no less than 1 hour. It is driven into the power mixer
by compressed air. If necessary, water can be supplied into the same operation
volume, after which the parent mortar, mechanical foam and water are forcedly
mixed well until uniform aerated concrete is obtained with the required density
of 450 – 1400 kg/m³, depending upon the controlled concentration of
ingredients. After the production cycle, the whole system should be flushed
through with water forced from the batch meter by the power of compressed air.
The water should be then collected into a special reservoir for a repeated use.
The patent describes several options to update the new method
when employing it in plastering works and provides recommendations, such as: how
to prepare parent grout; how to use 5:1 mixture of water and sulphonate powder
as a surfactant; how to make the system mobile; etc.
