SOYBEAN EXTRACT, METHOD OF ITS PREPARATION AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION

FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.

SUBSTANCE: soybean extract contains about 0.6- 1.5 weight portions of group B soybean saponins at the rate of 1 weight portion of glycoside isoflavones contained in an extract, at least, at the amount of 13%. Extraction of fat-free soya beans or meal is conducted with aliphatic alcohols or their aqueous mixtures at reciprocal ratio of 3:2 - 2: 3. Extract is concentrated, purified, extracted either with aliphatic hydrocarbons nonmiscible with water or alcohols nonmiscible with water. Extract is concentrated and dried. Pharmaceutical composition containing soybean extract to treat and prevent pre- and postclimacteric symptoms, alcoholism, mammary gland and prostatic cancers is, also, suggested.
