The patent considers the METHODS TO FORECAST THE PLACE AND INTENSITY OF EARTHQUAKES, including the establishment of electromagnetic field fluctuation by generating an electromagnetic probing signal and registering the electromagnetic information signal.

The proposed method differs from the known ones by that sounding is applied directly to the earth massive preferably in seismic areas; at that as the electromagnetic information signal they use the waves reflected or dispersed from the probing signal, the probing signal generating unit is placed above the Earth, as the probing signal they use radio waves in a frequency range not less than ML (i.e. with the length of more than 10 kms), and the information signals are sampled simultaneously at least in three points. The patent indicates that as the electromagnetic wave receiving antennas they use wideband antennas, preferably buried in the Earth crust strata with low electroconductivity.
