Do
not change latitudes to stay healthy
Specialists
noticed that when a man travels (with a high speed, at least not less than a
speed of a passenger train) over the world to the North-South, his physical
condition is changing. People with a high blood pressure sharply rising during
such trips feel this phenomenon better than others. It’s interesting that the
change in the organism occurs not during the trip itself, but upon arrival to a
place of destination. Acclimatization to new conditions comes a few days later.
However, if to travel in the
East-West direction, no significant deviation in the physical condition,
excluding a failure of the habitual day-night rhythm due to a time zones
alteration, is occurred. In this case the organism only re-tunes to new sleep
& buoyancy regime. But all mentioned above is true if the trip is long
enough and it’s necessary to pass through over 4 time zones.
For instance, if to go from
Moscow to Sochi or Brest, on arrival to the place of destination those who came
to Brest would feel better than those who came to Sochi.
Scientists put forward a set of
possible reasons for this variation in the biological activity. Namely, on
moving to the North-South, the gravity force, day & night hours correlation
and the velocity of the earth rotation around its axis are changing. On moving
to the East-West, i.e. in parallel to the equator’s plane, all these reasons
are not found.
Considering the above,
specialists advise the people suffering from cardio-vascular disease and
diabetes who are looking for places to spend their vacations, to choose the
sites close by latitude to the neighborhood they live in, or to travel with a
low speed, for example, to cycle.
