METHOD OF DETECTING THE LEAKAGE OF THE SPACE VEHICLE BODY WHILE ON THE ORBIT

The method consists in creating the medium pressure inside the space vehicle body, and the leakage is judged from the behavior of the fiber-containing sensitive element. The peculiarity of this new technology lies in the fact that separate sections of the space vehicle body are isolated so as to form auxiliary monitoring cavities at these sections with the formation of one flow area in each of them to let the air (being accumulated in the auxiliary cavities as a result of the vehicle body leakage at these sections) escape from the vehicle body, and with the formation of the collars from the fiber-containing sensitive element in the form of naps located along the perimeter of these sections. The naps are positioned aside the external rim of these sections and they overlap the said flow areas, and the availability of leakage is judged from the origin and nature of the naps behavior under the effect of the air escaping from the space vehicle body, and the process of the naps movement is filmed by a camera.
