METHOD OF
DETERMINING THE DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DAM FOUNDATION AND BODY OF THE
WATER-DEVELOPMENT WORKS
The method consists in measuring
(within the scope of investigated object) the forced oscillations of the dam
body appearing under the effect of microseismic background of the natural and
technogenic origin. The novelty of this technology consists in the fact that
there is determined the variation of microoscillations of the dam body as a
result of action of polymonochromatic vibration emission of operating generators
of hydroelectric power plants or as a result of action of a special controlled
vibration source. To note these variations, use is made of a group of
three-component vibration transducers being transferred in the dam body and two
stationary three-component vibration transducers located in the dam body and in
its foundation. The readings of all these transducers are taken simultaneously.
Such a procedure of making the measurements and the arrangement of special
vibration transducers make it possible to obtain a set of dynamic and elasticity
characteristics reflecting the physical state of the dam foundation and body of
the water-development works.
