DETERMINING THE POTATO RESISTANCE TO COLORADO BEETLES
This method includes the
revelation of properties of the plant which is essentially a marker of the
potato resistance to Colorado beetles; thereafter, there is performed the
incubation of a leaf tissue with an extract from the insect alimentary tract
with the subsequent determination of diminution of chlorophyll “B” according
to which the potato variety is judged from its resistance to Colorado beetles.
The less is the diminution of chlorophyll “B”, the more resistant is the
given potato to insects.
