DEMERCURIZATION OF MERCURY CONTAINING MATERIALS AND APPARATUS FOR PERFOMING THE

 FIELD:
procession of mercury containing materials, particularly evaporation of mercury
out of zinc cementate.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of distilling
mercury in circulating stream of inert gas in closed contour. Apparatus for
performing the method includes reservoir with processed material, heater,
entrainment unit and pump; it is provided in addition with jet pump arranged in
front of entrainment unit having separator with cyclone, heat exchanger joined
with jet pump and separator through pump. All units of apparatus form two closed
contours, namely: gas stream contour including jet pump, separator, heater and
reservoir with processed material and liquid phase contour including separator,
pump, heat exchanger, jet pump.
EFFECT: enhanced ecological properties of system
