Complex treatment of iodine-and bromine-containing sodium chloride waters

The known complex treatment of iodine-and bromine-containing sodium chloride waters assumes for extraction of iodine, bromine and sodium salt from water and provides for neutralization of alkali, acidification of original iodine-and bromine-containing water with a muriatic acid with consequent removal of iodine and bromine through their sequent oxidation, desorption, absorption and crystallization.

In the newly developed method, a removing base technological solution after removal of iodine from it is undergone concentration and further electrolysis to produce muriatic acid and hypochloride. Muriatic acid is injected at the initial stage of the process to neutralize alkali and acidify original iodine-and bromine-containing water, while hypochloride is fed in the process at the iodine oxidation stage.

The patent formula also contains 4 distinguishing features which reflect different way of the treatment process order.
