SUBSTANCE: plant has tower- mounted composite rotor incorporating Savonius
windwheel installed on central shaft and at least two airfoil blades hinged to
upper and lower crosspieces coupled with central shaft, rigid joints between
lower crosspieces and central shaft, rotor speed limiter, central-shaft mounted
generator unit with generator kinematically linked with step-up gear, free-wheel
expanding clutch, and central shaft that carries brake member;
novelty is that upper end of central shaft is mounted at windwheel upper end
level, upper crosspieces are attached to central shaft through hinged joints,
and that crosspieces are set at acute angles to plane perpendicular to central
shaft with distance between them increasing towards blades; novelty is also that
rotor speed limiter has at least one centrifugal speed governor board built
integral with airfoil blades and mounted on shaft fixed at bottom part of blade.
