ERYTHROCYTE
ANTIGENIC DIAGNOSTICUM FOR IDENTIFICATION OF L.pneumophila
Indication
the diagnosticum is intended for the
identification of antilegionellosis antibodies by the reaction of passive
gemagglutination in the diagnosis of Legionaire disease;
the preparation is a 2% suspension of
erythrocytes sensibihzed with Legionella surface antigen; particle
size is 0.804 mkm
Formulation form
- the kits are intended for 20, 50 and 100
detections. The diagnosticum gives specific reaction of latex-agglutination
with human blood antibodies against Legionellaceae, independently of
their serovariant.
Advantages
- the advantages of latex-agglutination reaction
are as follows: it is more simple in performance than the reaction of indirect
gem-addlutination or indirect immunofluorescence. No special devices are
required. Time of the analysis performance is decreased to 10 min.
- Legionaire
disease
is identified if the value of the diagnostic tetre of one single serum sample is
1:32 and that of double serum sample is 4-fold increased.
