CAPILLARY-BREAKING MEMBRANE FOR ROAD PAVEMENT
A road pavement capillary-breaking membrane containing a black gravel, bitumen and sand is located among compacted road pavement layers which have different linear extension coefficient (difference is from 30 to 100%) and steam permeability coefficient (difference is from 30 to 300%). Black gravel is laid in one layer over the modified bitumen layer which ensures independent operation of the layers during ambient temperature fluctuations. The black gravel layer is additionally filled up with a treated large-grained binding organic sand which is featured with a disrupted granulometric composition to drain moisture.

ROAD PAVEMENT
In the new technology, asphalt concrete layer is predominantly made of a cast asphalt concrete or a cold asphalt concrete mixture with a thickness of the layer of 15-35 mm. This layer is being armored with a fiber in the process of preparation and/or laying down of asphalt concrete mixture, which helps to prevent penetration of below-laid bitumen on its surface. Black gravel layer with a grain-sized thickness is distributed over the modified bitumen layer and forms a powerful casing for asphalt concrete layer which takes up tangential loads induced by running vehicles.
