| A METHOD OF AND DEVICE FOR FIRE PREVENTION IN DAMAGED ELECTRIC CIRCUITS OR POWER INSTALLATIONS |
| In traditional methods, total electric current in electric circuit is measured.
In the newly-developed method, total signal of the second and/or higher harmonics is generated through filtration of the first harmonic or the entire low frequency spectrum of the measured total current. The said signal is amplified, rectified and accumulated within a preset time. The value of the accumulated signal is compared with a preset value or the first (or higher) comparison level values approved for relevant electric circuit fire protection category. Alarm signal(s) warning of a fire hazard, or a command to switch off electric circuit is generated. |
